How to do it

  1. Upload your photo

    Drag a photo in or choose one from your device. JPG, PNG, WEBP and iPhone HEIC photos all work, up to 10 MB each, and you can add several at once.

  2. Choose how it is drawn

    Pick a style: focus on the main subject, include the background, or skip any lettering in the photo. If you do not like the result, change the style and draw it again.

  3. Convert

    Press Convert. In a few moments the page appears in the studio, with your photo turned into clear outlines and open spaces to color.

  4. Download and print

    Save the page as a PNG or a PDF and print it on ordinary letter-size paper. No special paper and no extra software.

Tips for a photo that turns out well

  • Choose a photo with one clear subject, such as an animal, a flower, a building or a favorite toy.
  • Light matters. A bright, sharp photo gives cleaner lines than a dark or blurry one.
  • Step closer. When the subject fills most of the picture, the shapes are bigger and easier to color.
  • A plain background gives a simple page, and a busy one gives many small spaces. Pick the style that fits what you want.

What prints well

  • Bold outlines and big open areas color best. Very small details can be hard for small hands.
  • Younger children usually enjoy fewer, larger spaces. Older children can take more detail.
  • Print in black and white. If your printer has a draft or economy mode, it saves ink and the lines stay clear.
