HEIC photo decoder

iPhone photos are often saved as HEIC. Safari opens them itself; other browsers cannot, so when you add a HEIC photo that your browser cannot open, we load a decoder that turns it into a JPEG on your own device. The photo, and any location or camera details inside it, stay on your device; only the converted picture is used. The decoder is not loaded for any other photo.

We serve the decoder unmodified, as two separate files, so it can be replaced by a modified build of the same libraries: libheif.js and libheif.wasm. The licence text is here and our notice is here. If you would like the corresponding source for the version we use, write to hello@colorapicture.com.
