Copyright (DMCA) Policy
Color A Picture, LLC · Effective date: October 27, 2026
1. Our position
Color a Picture converts an image supplied by a user into a line drawing, or draws a page from a user's description. We do not choose the inputs, we do not publish the outputs, and there is no public library of pages. Responsibility for uploaded material rests with the user who uploaded it (Terms of Service, section 4). We respond to properly submitted notices.
2. What we can act on
- We do not keep the images users upload. A signed-out user's photo is never stored; a signed-in user's photo is held for at most an hour and then deleted — except under our child-safety hold (Privacy Policy section 6), where a copy is preserved instead, if one still exists. There is normally no stored original to remove.
- We do not host pages publicly. There is no public URL to disable.
- What we can do is remove a page from the user's private library, purge the cached output derived from a specific image, and act against the account, up to termination under section 5.
3. Submitting a notice
Send notices to our designated agent:

A notice must include, per 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature, or that of someone authorised to act for the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it. Please include the exact image file if you have it: our records are indexed by a fingerprint of the image content, not by user or filename, so without the file we may be unable to locate anything.
- Your contact information.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the owner.
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability under §512(f). Please consider whether the use is fair use before sending a notice.
4. Counter-notice
If we remove a page from your library or act on your account in response to a notice, we will tell you. You may send a counter-notice to the same agent containing: your signature; identification of the material and where it was before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the US, for the district where we are located) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We forward counter-notices to the complainant and restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
5. Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. An account that receives three valid notices within twelve months, or whose owner we reasonably conclude is uploading others' work deliberately, is a repeat infringer. We keep a record of notices per account.
6. Characters and trademarks
Many complaints in this area concern characters rather than a specific artwork. Our automated screening refuses text descriptions that name protected characters and brands, and our AI providers decline to convert most recognisable character images. Trademark complaints may be sent to legal@colorapicture.com and are handled under the same process.
